Overview of solar street lights
Solar street lights use sunlight as the energy source, solar panels charge the battery during the day, and the battery is used to power the load at night. No complicated and expensive pipelines need to be laid. The layout of the lamps can be adjusted arbitrarily. It is safe, energy-saving and pollution-free, and requires no manual operation. Maintenance-free.
The system consists of solar photovoltaic components (including brackets), special LED lamps (die-cast aluminum / aluminum profiles), light control + time control intelligent controller, photovoltaic energy storage gel batteries and light poles; the solar panel light efficiency reaches 127Wp / m2, high efficiency, very beneficial to the wind-resistant design of the system; the LED light source part is integrated with 1W-5W white LED and 1W-5W warm-color LED on the PCB board as the light source, long life, good brightness, energy saving and environmental protection.
This system uses a valve-controlled sealed gel battery. Because it has little maintenance, it is also called a “maintenance-free battery”, which helps reduce system maintenance costs. The charge and discharge controller is designed with full functions (with light control). , Time control, over-charge protection, over-discharge protection and reverse connection protection, etc.) and cost control to achieve a high cost performance.
2. Working principle
The working principle of the system is simple. The solar cell made by the photovoltaic effect principle receives solar radiation energy during the day and converts it into electrical energy output. It is stored in the storage battery through the charge and discharge controller. When the illumination is gradually reduced to about 10 lux at night, the solar panel The open-circuit voltage is about 4.5V. When the charge and discharge controller detects this voltage, the battery will discharge to the lamp cap. After the battery discharges for 8.5 hours, the charge-discharge controller operates and the battery discharge ends. The main role of the charge and discharge controller is to protect the battery.
